Alan Kaufman Milston (1922 - 2012)

Alan Milston was born on 24 October 1922 in Leichhardt, Sydney. He graduated in civil engineering from Sydney University in 1943, and served in the Second World War, constructing airstrips in New Guinea. In 1954 he formed a partnership with Peter Owen Miller and three tears later they were joined by John Ferris to form Killer, Milston and Ferris the highly-regarded consulting engineering firm.

Alan Milston was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia on Queen's Birthday 2004

For service to the community, particularly through Rostrum Australia, and to the engineering profession.

Alan Kaufman Milston died on 17 June 2012.
