BERRYMAN, Richard Arthur, (1898-1983)

Richard Berryman (LISWA)

Born in Perth on December 23, 1898 and educated at Perth Boys School and Perth Technical College, Berryman served in the Signal Corps during World War I and then studied at Manchester College of Technology.

Between 1925 and 1970 he was an Electrical Consultant and Contractor. His projects included electrical engineering/contracting for London Court, the Piccadilly Theatre, Piccadilly Arcade, The Theatre Royal, Anzac House, the Highway Hotel, Swanbourne Army Camp and the University of Western Australia campus at Crawley.

He was a keen sailor and acted as a yacht measurement official for the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne.

He retired in 1970, and died on March 18, 1983.
