Nicholas Trahair (1934-2021)
Structural engineer Nicholas Trahair was the man to call when things went wrong. He checked wobbling tower floodlights at the SCG amid concerns ahead of an NRL final and was called in to check the western grandstand at WIN Stadium in Wollongong after it buckled in high winds. He was also a consultant for the futurist design of Wembley stadium in London.
